In this scene in deadpool they edited it the film in a was which creates excitement to it by having fast cuts and continuous camera movement. Each cut is a maximum of 4 seconds making it short snappy and exhilarating. You start off with a long shot of the cars speeding by then quickly cuts to deadpool jumping off the highway building up the tension. It has a calming scene for 2 seconds with the music playing in the background and a sudden, SMASH!!! This is the part where deadpool lands in the car then you get a long shot of the car as it's swaying side to side show that the driver was not expecting someone to jump into the car. It uses fast cuts from different angles on different people but it follow deadpool's hands and feet as he punches so when he punches the camera moves with it giving the effect that the punches have a lot of power behind them.
As the scenes progress you see a man get thrown out the boot of the car with it you get the sense of how fast the car is going because anything you see in the background is gone in 0.5 of a second making the man holding on to the back of the car seem in even more danger than what he already is in. For every hit he makes you always get a close up of the person he is beating up giving the feeling that you are that person. When the person pulls out a gun, and shoots his friend in the leg, just the sound of the gun implicates violence making for a mature scene. With the parson on the bike he just shoots randomly into the car killing one of his members but once he's shot you get a medium close up of him seeing the blood dripping down his face showing that the film isn't afraid to show death.
When pool speeds up the car to crash into the other car it cuts quickly from inside the car to the outside of the car as the collision happens then cuts back into the car where you have a free hand cam of the other car it his spinning out of control showing the speed of what it was going to how quickly it stopped. This lets the audience feel the scene of rush and exhilaration from just watching it keeping them on the edge of their seats. When the lighter is finished yo uget a close up shot of it popping out and pool grabbing it showing what he is holding when he shoves it into a man's mouth which again is a close up shot of his face allowing you to see and in a way feel the man's pain as it's put in his mouth in a span of 6 seconds with 5 camera changes making for a nice way of seeing different angles of the man and pool.
